THERE ARE MANY THINGS YOU CAN IMPLEMENT TO ASSURE YOUR BABY IS IN A SAFE SLEEP ENVIRONMERNT. YOUR BABY SHOULD ALWAYS BE PUT IN THEIR CRIB ON THEIR BACK TO SLEEP. THIS INCLUDES NAP TIME AS WELL.
Do NOT Smoke during pregnancy, or after birth in your home, or near baby. Visitors should be mindful of this.
Babies should be given a pacifier at bedtime or nap timehis also helps to prevent SIDS.
There should be nothing in the crib, but the baby. The A.A.P. & most Pediatricians agre toys, blankets, bumpers and pillows should NOT be in the crib as it increases the incidents of S.I.D.S. Slats on a crib should be no more than 2/3/8" apart.
